Dr Ajay Sahu is a Consultant Radiologist withMusculoskeletal (MSK) interest at the London. He undertook structured RoyalCollege approved radiology training (FRCR) in Southwest England and visited Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore as a fellow. He worked a seniorLecturer at University of Buckinghamshire. He has worked in NHS for a total of20 years with almost 10 years as a Consultant Radiologist at London NorthwestHealthcare University NHS Trust. He now works with HCA and Circlehealthgroupsin London. He works closely with a large team of Orthopaedic surgeons, Rheumatologistsand Sports Physicians. He has done MS Orthopaedics from Gandhi Medical College,Bhopal (India) in 2003 and has been working in UK since 2004. He decided tochange career in 2009 and switched from Orthopaedics to Radiology in order tospecialise in MSK Radiology, after working as an Orthopaedic surgeon for 9years. After completing his general radiology training rotationunder Peninsula Radiology Academyand University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust Plymouth Hospitals (major trauma centre), he obtained his FRCR. He is an expert in musculoskeletal and sports imaging, bothdiagnostic and intervention. He does all sorts of ultrasound, CT andfluoroscopy guided procedures. He alsopracticing general and oncall radiologyincluding paediatrics. He haswon Injury (Elsevier) prize in 2009 in British Trauma Society Meeting, UK and Certificateof Merit at RSNA 2011. He is a reviewer of several referred scientific journalsincluding British medical journal and Journal of hand Surgery. He has publishedapproximately 28 indexed articles (17 in pubmed), has been a keynote speakerand lectured at over 194 international and national meetings. He has 53published abstracts, 41 oral presentations in international meetings, 46 oralpresentations in UK national meetings, 57 posters in international meetingsand 52 poster presentations in UKnational meetings. He is regularlyinvited to present his findingsat conferences around the world. He is experienced in elite sports, having worked as Sports Radiologist inthe world athletic championship 2017 (IAAF). He regularly works with eminent and renowned sports physiciansand finds his Orthopaedic background of 9 years as extremely helpful in his dayto day MSK Radiology practice. Heregularly teaches on MSKimaging courses, FRCR 2B courses, along with producing multiple peer reviewed publications.
